The storage compartment easily fits our four throws. The two lid pieces turn over to reveal trays that you can use for drinks or decorative items and are also a pretty mahogany colored wood. This is a great piece of furniture! It's sturdy, not flimsy and is perfect with a sectional. It was also a great price. I would definitely recommend!
